Dr. Amir Koopah
Dr. Amir Koopah developed his passion for dentistry at an early age, inspired by watching his father enjoy a long and fulfilling career in the profession. He saw firsthand how dentistry improves patients’ health while fostering meaningful, long-term relationships that often span generations. He was further inspired by his older brother, Dr. Reza Koopah, who also chose dentistry as his career.
Dentistry appealed to Dr. Amir because it uniquely combines medical science with artistry. Drawn to both the technical and creative aspects of the field, he pursued advanced expertise in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, with a commitment to uncompromising quality. He provides the same high standard of care to his patients that he would expect for himself.
Dr. Amir earned his undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University and his dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. In 1999, he acquired his first dental practice just one block from his brother’s office. The two later merged their practices, allowing them to offer comprehensive dental care with a focus on cosmetic, restorative, and preventive dentistry. Their Bay Area offices were designed to meet their exacting standards and are equipped with advanced dental technologies that emphasize comfort, precision, and minimally invasive care.
Dedicated to continued education and professional growth, Dr. Amir regularly trains with leading practitioners at the Interdisciplinary Dental Education Academy (IDEA Institute). He has also served as an Assistant Professor at both the University of California, San Francisco and the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. In addition, Dr. Amir donates his services to the Delancey Street Foundation, supporting individuals working to rebuild their lives and reenter society.
